The Radicalization Awareness Network

Since 2012 some of the founding members of DERAD-ITALIA APS are involved in the Radicalization Awareness Network (RAN)

RAN, established by the European Commission in 2011, is a network that includes teachers, social workers, educators, psychologists and psychiatrists, security forces, local authorities and some Third Sector organizations, coming from all Member States, who are in contact with subjects vulnerable to radicalization or radicalized.

RAN, which today involves about 6,000 operators, connects frontline practitioners from across Europe with one another, and with academics and policymakers, to help them exchange knowledge, first-hand experiences and approaches to preventing and countering violent extremism in all its forms.
